- 47' cruiser-racer yacht Mysphi, 1994
Substantial background research was carried out for this project, in two conflicting areas: racing and cruising.
Our first step was to create dynamic velocity predictions, integrating the particulars of sailing conditions on Lake Geneva and the ACVL rating rules. The other major aspect of this design was to evaluate the necessity of each single component in terms of cruising comfort and race performance. For instance, carrying lead in the bilge or having a wine cellar onboard are exactly the same in terms of speed but certainly not in comfort…
The result is a very comfortable yacht that can win races in her category (Bol d'Or 1997 first in Category 2, ninth overall).
