"It's now official: after having successfully completed its restructuring, Switch-Catamarans has launched the development of its brand new 55ft (17m) catamaran.

Designed by the Swiss naval architect's bureau Sébastien Schmidt, this ocean-cruising catamaran has modern, elegant lines (with notably a square-headed mainsail), and is at the leading edge of technology.

This new catamaran, following on from the old model Switch 51 and 55, continues the philosophy of a safe, fast, convivial boat which can be manoeuvred by a short-handed crew."
