The concept of this web application dates back to November 2005, target was to attempt to track down every boat ever built under the 5.5 meter International Rule (approximately 800 boats), with its current location and owner.

Idea to group all the informations in a wiki type database came after a transformation of an existing boat and the difficulties we encountered to collect datas from different sources spread around the world.

Anybody could contribute by adding informations, gossips, tips, pictures, drawings, rating certificates, racing results, etc… Participation is open to all but is, contrary to Wikipedia, subject to prior registration to avoid abuse and vandalism on one hand, and to preserve the debate active on the other hand, sometimes indeed there is no one truth, but differences of interpretations, at least at the beginning of the story until a coherent scenario would converge.
