- Wilke 49' Wild Lady, 2007
Built at Christof Wilke's shipyard, this lake-racing Wilke 49'
Designed for the European lakes (category C of the 94/25 CE), this racer is fitted with a canting keel (naturally, we could say nowadays…) but with a lifting system as well, studied and made by Cariboni, which allows sailing with a performing draft of 3.40m while maintaining easy access to the moorings.
On the other hand, there is no ballast and no trapezes to give the deck layout maximum simplicity. Indeed, managing the huge sail areas will already be job enough to keep everyone busy onboard...
Launch was on 7 June 2007 on Bodensee and the boat immediately participated in the Rund Um, finishing a creditable second out of 482 in her first regatta. She went on to win the 2008 race and was in the top rankings for the 2008 editions of the Gorla and Centomiglia.
